Memorium

You have died, and the Angel of Death has brought you to a mysterious place called Memorium. Without any knowledge of who you were or how you met your end, you seek the counsel of the Master of Memorium, who sends you on a journey into the wilds to collect your memories one by one. You are compelled by more than the desire to remember – you feel a restless adventure in your soul, as if you also spent your life searching for something very important.

As you brave the deepest and foulest corners of Memorium, you will uncover both comforting and terrifying truths about your life as you battle many dark souls. These powerful and twisted soul-crushers guard the memories of the dead to keep all others broken, lost, and confused. To defeat them and claim what is rightfully yours, you will have to become one of the most powerful souls in history. There is more at stake than one dead man’s memory…

Development Notes

Memorium’s three cornerstones are story, action, and adventure. The story (from the beginning of your search to your final revelations) has been in development for over ten years; the action is brought to life by our most complex enemy AI programming to date; and the adventure takes place in the largest open world we have ever created. Needless to say, it is very dear to us, and has shown itself to be the most time-consuming project currently in development. Because every facet of the game’s evolution is so intricate, it is sadly very far from completion. But, if we are able to reach that final mark in the future, we believe that Memorium would be the crown jewel of Biovoltix – the “soul” of its story and meticulous pixel art representing so much of the classic charm for which we have worked so hard during our almost twenty years of game development. Memorium has always been there during our time of gradual growth, systematically claiming all the best qualities of our progress. We hope it gets its day to shine.
